We provide ready-made scripts for the most common platforms. They handle the technical details of extracting research-relevant data from each platform’s data download package, so you can focus on your study instead of the file format.

Tailor a script for your study
If you need a subset of a platform’s data (say, just Instagram likes and followers), the script builder lets you pick which fields you want and packages them as a Python wheel for your study.

We can also adapt an existing script for your study or build a new one for a platform we don’t yet cover. Email DataDonation@uu.nl to discuss what you need.
Examples from previous studies
The ODISSEI Code Library archives scripts and code from previous data donation studies. They’re useful as reference if you’re designing something custom or want to see how other researchers approached a particular platform or research question.
