What the software does
Our open-source software helps researchers run data donation studies. It creates a secure website that guides participants through requesting their personal data from platforms like Instagram, Netflix, or WhatsApp, processing that data locally on their own device, and sharing only the parts they explicitly consent to donate.
Participants stay in control the whole way through. Raw data never leaves their device unless they choose to share it.
How to get access
Are you a Dutch researcher? You can use the software for free with support from the D3I project. Get in touch with Laura Boeschoten to get started.
Not based in the Netherlands? You have two alternatives:
- Eyra, the platform that powers our software, offers a managed data donation service.
- The software is open source, so you can host it yourself on your own infrastructure.
